Recent Favourites: 01

As a self confessed shopaholic, I often find I can't stop myself from buying the odd product here and there so I thought I'd round up all my favourite purchases from the last couple of months and share them with you.

nSpa Blueberry Bath and Shower Gel

(500ml, £2)

This shower gel is a pretty recent purchase but it has quickly become one of my favourites. When I first bought it I didn't expect much considering the price, however I was surprised to find that it smells gorgeous — so fruity! It leaves your skin smelling amazing! I've yet to try it in a bath but I don't think I'll be disappointed!

Clinique Pop Lip Colour and Primer

(£16)

This lipstick has become a statement product for my everyday makeup look. I have it in the colour Nude Pop, so it is quite a subtle pink colour which gives your lips a little bit of colour without being too overpowering for during the day. I tend to pair it with Rimmel's Oh My Gloss in 160 Stay My Rose which gives it a nice shine. The lipstick itself is is easy to apply and it makes your lips feel velvety soft and because it is combined with a primer I find the colour lasts quite long too.

L'Occtaine Fleur d'Or and Acacia Hand Cream

(30ml, £8)

This hand cream was given to me in my stocking last Christmas but I've only recently started using it again and I had forgotten how good it is! I couldn't find the exact same one that I have on the website so I've made a link to L'Occtaine's range of travel size hand creams which are all just as amazing.  The first thing that draws me to these products is the smell. My hand cream has quite a musky, natural smell that is quite perfect for autumn. It gives off a sense of warmth which I find quite relaxing.

Nice To Meet You Again

(£21.25)

This book by Victionary has just been released in the past couple of months and for anyone studying or interested in branding it is a must have. It is full of business cards, invitations and greetings cards. As a graphic design student, I find this book really helpful when it comes to research and inspiration and it will come in really handy when I redo my business cards next year. This is the third book that I've bought by Victionary and I think what draws me to these books is how beautifully designed and laid out they are, I mean just look at that cover!

Tombow ABT Dual Brush Pens

 (£2.14)

Pens are my weakness, I love having new pens to try out and play with. They have two ends, a fine liner end for neat line drawings and a flexible brush tip for a more fluid line. The brush tip is my favourite end as it allows different thicknesses of line as you are drawing which helps for typography. There are 96 different colours in the range so you are spoilt for choice. However, I would say be careful which colours you pick as some may turn out to be quite a different colour from what you expected.

Bumble and bumble. is a hair company that I've wanted to try for a while as you always see bloggers talk about how good their products are. But with their prices being slightly high I didn't just want to go in and pick up any product without any knowledge of what that product does. Luckily one of my friends works in the Bumble and bumble. section in Boots and she gave me a couple of testers away to try along with instructions on how to use the product and what it should do to your hair. I was not disappointed! I have now become a fully fledged Bumble and bumble. addict and want go back and buy all of their products. But to try and not bore you by going on about all the products that I love I've narrowed it down to two of my favourites.

Bb. Don't Blow It

(60ml, £12)

This was a definite favourite from the start. I quite often just blow dry my roots and then leave the rest of my hair to dry naturally so this product suited me perfectly and is one that I'll buy again and again. You put a little bit of the product into your hair when it's wet so that when your hair dries naturally it looks more polished and there is less frizz. Another good thing about this product is that when it dries there doesn't feel like you've put any product in your hair leaving it touchably soft.

Bb. Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer

(250ml, £20.50)

This product is amazing, it helps to prime you hair for styling while protecting it from heat. It is infused with 6 lightweight oils which means you can use this product on wet or dry hair before you style it without it making your hair look greasy. I've so far only used it on wet hair and the oils really do help to make my hair so soft and keep frizz away. I also used it on my hair just before showering the day after my friend did my hair for a ball — where my hair was thick with hairspray — and the Primer made it really easy to wash all the product out, it was almost like all the hairspray just slid off my hair — so effortless!
