Giraffe

Hey guys, so for those who know me they know how much I love to eat out. I like trying out new places and seeing what they have to offer so when I was invited to try out Giraffe's new spring menu with the #abzmeet gals, of course, I jumped at the chance to go along.

I've been to Giraffe a couple of times before when I was younger and all I really remember was the giraffe cocktail stirrers so I was really excited when I looked in my goodie bag and found one hiding in there!

Upon arrival we were greeted with a goodie bag and told that we could pick a cocktail and two courses from their new menu. All of the cocktails sounded so good and the range of daiquiris sounded really interesting so I will definitely be back to try more of them out. I went for the Mango Mule which contains mango vodka, apple, lime and ginger beer. Ginger beer is quickly becoming my favourite mixer, so this cocktail was perfect and mixed with the mango vodka it was very refreshing!

For me, the choice between having a starter or dessert is always very easy — I have a major sweet tooth so dessert all the way!

For my main, I chose the Chicken Milanese which is a breaded chicken escalope that is covered in a tomato sauce served with garlic potatoes and salad. It was so good! It is definitely a good choice if you are quite fussy.

For dessert, I went for the Salted Caramel Sundae which was an explosion of salted caramel ice cream, salted pretzels and toffee popcorn — yum! Some of the girls went for the Churros or the White Chocolate and Passion Fruit Cheesecake which both got good responses and looked very tasty!

Another reason that I love visiting new restaurants — other than the food obviously — is the decor. Giraffe is filled with intimate booths, spacious wooden tables and fairy lights. I'm obsessed with fairy lights so anywhere that has them immediately wins me over! I also really liked the motto that they had painted above their bookcase: Love, Eat, Live — it's definitely something to live by. The only thing I would say is that the lighting, while romantic, is not very blogger friendly and did not do these amazing dishes justice!

I really enjoyed dinner at Giraffe and being able to catch up with the #abzmeet girls. It was a lot of fun and the food was delicious. We were well looked after by the staff and I can't wait to go back and try out more of their menu!

Have you ever been to Giraffe?

**All the food and drink sampled was kindly gifted to us by Giraffe. However, as always my opinions are 100% my own**
