Girl's Night In

Hey guys, I took a short break from blogging while I got all moved in to my new flat —yay! Now that Ross and I are all settled, I thought it was time to get back into the swing of things and I'm so glad that this is the first post I'm coming back to! I'll warn you now though, it's going to be a long one!

What do you get when you mix five bloggers with prosecco, cocktails, jewellery, cupcakes, donuts and a huge apartment? The perfect girls night in, of course! I had the pleasure of experiencing this firsthand when Sarah, from BlogsVlogsEtc, invited me along with some of my fave blogging gals — Hannah from Granite City Girl, Katherine from Life With Kat and Julia from Just Julia — to stay at one of Skene House's lovely apartments.

Upon arriving at Skene House, I was looking forward to seeing our sleeping quarters for the evening and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the apartment! Alongside 3 very decent sized bedrooms, there was a living room, kitchen, bathroom and shower room — plenty of space for us all to spread out! The decor is modern with a Scottish twist which I loved as it brought some warmth to the apartment. I was also surprised to find that Skene House had kindly gifted us two bottles of prosecco — which went down an absolute treat!

Sarah had also made some adorable photo frames with our blog names made out of scrabble letters — LOVE!

While having a catch up with the girls, some of the lovely lady's from Body'n'Sol came round to our apartment and treated us to some beauty treatments. Sarah got her lashes done, Katherine got her eyebrows done and Hannah, Julia and I opted to get our nails done. I went for a dark navy called Deep Sea — which I loved!

After feeling suitably beautified, Roz, a style consultant for Stella and Dot, arrived and gave us a quick introduction into the company. I liked that most of the pieces from Stella and Dot are really versatile which makes them the perfect travel accessories.

However, after all of this we realised we had made a major error — we'd forgotten about food! Thinking that ordering from Deliveroo would be a quick solution to all our problems we ordered away. How wrong we were! Many phone calls to London and an hour and a half later we finally had our food — not ideal!

The only advantage that came from this meant that we could spend our time creating the perfect cocktail. Combining gin with Funkin' Cocktail's Elderflower Collins, lemonade, ice and blueberries — so refreshing!

Exhausted from waiting around so long for our food, it was time for bed! I slept like a baby — my bed was so comfy! The next morning, after waking up feeling fully refreshed we headed to the restaurant to fuel up for the day ahead. We were not disappointed! The buffet had something for everyone: cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, meats and cheese. You were spoilt for choice. However, if that's not enough for you there is also an a la carte menu where you can order a cooked breakfast.

Still full from breakfast but with eyes bigger than our bellies we managed to try a cupcake from Cupcakes by Jo. I had the malteser one — it was devine!

I had an amazing evening with some hilarious girls! I laughed so much and really enjoyed every minute of it (Deliveroo disaster aside). Thank you so much to both Sarah for organising the night and to Skene House for having us! It is definitely a great way to have a girls night!
