Papergang Unboxing: November

When OhhDeer started posting sneak peaks of November’s box, I knew it was going to be a good one. Not only is it animal themed but it also was filled with Christmas stationery — the dream! This month’s box works in collaboration with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home with £1 from each box going to the charity.

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aim to never turn away a cat or dog in need of help. Caring for over 7,000 cats and dogs every year until they can find their forever home, no matter how long it takes. They have been dedicated to achieving their vision since 1860 and run a non-selective intake policy. This which means they accept any breed of animal, at any age. Alongside caring for the animals in their care, they also work hard to educate the public about being a responsible owner. As a massive dog lover, everything they stand for totally resonates so I’m so glad that OhhDeer has raised awareness of such a great charity. Find out more about Battersea Dogs & Cats Home here or keep updated with them on twitter and facebook for some v. cute animal photos.

The illustrator responsible for the playful, bright animal illustrations on the box and throughout the stationery is Allison Black. Allison is an illustrator and designer based in Ohio. I absolutely adore the childlike feel of her illustrations. The bulldog in a Christmas jumper and party hat is definitely my favourite. The whole stationery collection is fun and mixes traditional Christmas colours with bright orange and blue which adds a fresh twist to your usual Christmas stationery.

So what’s in the box? Well, as I mentioned this box contained all the Christmas stationery necessities. First out the box was six Christmas cards with three different designs: a dachshund ‘dashing through the snow’, a very angry looking cat wrapped up in fairy lights and, my favourite, an english bulldog dressed up in a Christmas jumper and a party hat. Two sheets of giftwrap that is filled with festive cats and dogs and to accompany this giftwrap was three gift tags. Also included in the box there was the usual riso printed calendar with a v. cute greyhound illustration for January and a polka dot notebook.

I absolutely adore everything in this box. I’ve already used the wrapping paper and one of the gift tags for my friend’s Christmas present and the notebook and riso calendar has me all set for the New Year! I can’t wait to see what December’s box will contain. From the look of the box, it looks like it’s going to be filled with primary colours and tropical shapes. Like the sound of it?
