May Goals

Goals. They help me to be accountable, keep on track and stay motivated. Yeah Laura, but it’s the middle of the month, why make goals now? Well, it’s been a while since I’ve done a monthly goals post but now that I’m trying to get back in the swing of blogging I thought I’d put together some mid-month goals.

My blog has gone through quite a bit of change in 2018, it’s had a whole redesign and a name change — you can read about my decisions behind that here. So, this month I want to get back to basics and enjoy creating content for both my blog and podcast.

Enjoy a bit of chill time on holiday

I’m heading to Lanzarote this month and I could not be more excited for some time in the sun. Alongside the sun and cocktails I'm really looking forward to relaxing and spending some quality time with Ross.

Release my fourth episode of One Cocktail At A Time
(available on Thursday)

I’ve had this episode recorded for a while nowadays it’s time to get my arse in gear and get it live. It features the lovely Chloe from Chloe Alice Lily and we get chatting about working for free, working with brands and twitter drama.

Get the fifth episode planned and recorded

Getting back on the podcasting bandwagon. I really enjoy creating my podcast, if I’m completely honest some times I prefer it to blogging.I love being able to chat with loads of different people and all the different skills I’m learning in order to better my podcast with every episode. I’d love to get my fifth recorded and live this month. However, with my holiday I’m not sure I’ll have the time so at least getting it planned and ready to record early next month would be fab.

Get ahead on the blog so I don’t have to worry about it when I’m away

Now that I’m getting back into the swing of things blogging-wise, I want to keep on top of everything and prepare content ready to go live while I’m away. This means I don’t have to worry while I’m away about content, I can just relax and enjoy — and then share my adventures from Lanzarote when I’m back!

Get back to creating content and enjoying posting on Instagram

Alongside letting the blog suffer over the past month, my instagram hasn’t seen many new posts either. I’ve been taking a while to enjoy everyone else's posts and the engagement factor of Instagram. But now it's time to get back to sharing photos I love.

What do you think of creating goals mid-month? Do you have any goals for May? Let me know in the comments below.
